Jyrki Siukosen vuonna 2011 ilmestynyt teos Vasara ja hiljaisuus sai innostuneen vastaanoton ja on vakiinnuttanut asemansa yhtenä parhaista taiteellisen tutkimuksen teksteistä maassamme. Nyt tämä pieni suuri teos taiteen tekemisen filosofiasta ilmestyy englanniksi tekijän kääntämänä. Samalla myös teoksen sisältöä ja kuvitusta on täydennetty ja uudistettu.
